The registration period for shows to be a part of our official launch on 30th October has now closed. However, late registrations will be open in November and shows will be able to submit an online-only listing. These shows will not appear in our brochure listings, but will be shown in the 'What's On' listings on our website.
Once you have confirmed your show(s) with your venue, you'll need to get them submitted via 'Eventotron'. It's at this point that you'll be required to pay the registration fees. For more information on fees see our registration fees page. Below are some FAQs you may have when registering your show(s).
There are a number of things you'll need to provide when registering your show on Eventotron before it can be finalised:
All fees are to be paid on Eventotron at the time of registering your shows. They are paid via card.
Registration fees are used to help sustain the festivals and are an important source of income for Big Difference Company, the registered charity which produces the festivals. All acts who participate in the festivals, and pay the fees, benefit from a range of different support and services from the festival office. You can find out in more detail about these benefits on our registration fees page.
Discounts will be applied for multiple performances of the same show, mixed bill or event - as long as the performances are all in the same venue capacity category. The same person needs to register all of the shows to claim the discount.

Examples where the discount is NOT applicable:
If you are working with a promoter, you can ask them to register your show(s) on your behalf, but this is something you will need to discuss with them.
There are no extra costs for the act or promoter when a show is cancelled, however registration fees are not refundable and are not a deposit.
It is a condition of being part of the festivals that all acts submit a minimum of 50% of tickets to the festival ticket office (you will still get the income from the sale of these tickets). Many acts choose to submit more as every year, we find more customers are buying tickets via our Festival Box Office than from elsewhere. There is no additional charge to you for this; you get access to details of your own sales and we send you the settlement after the festival, once we’ve done all the reconciliation (usually 6-8 weeks post festival).

Leicester Comedy Festival & The UK Kids' Comedy Festival are produced by registered charity Big Difference Company. If you're able to make an additional donation to the charity, we'd really appreciate it! You'll be able to do this at the time of registering your show(s).
Like most festivals, we are having to explore new ways to generating income. If every act donated £5, we would immediately raise £5,000. The best bit about doing this is that we can also claim gift aid on these donations so the government would pay us 25% on all donations which would increase this amount to £6,250!
As a charity, we are non-profit making and want to work with you to ensure we can continue to deliver the festival, support new/emerging acts and celebrate British comedy. Thank you for supporting what we do!
